Words have useful pieces, surprising relatives and a few lookalikes. Put them together, ask the coach for a hint, and see what starts to make sense.

The full bank includes 17 roots, 62 build targets, 18 inference questions and 14 relation cards. Three starting questions find an initial level; practice then mixes easier and harder material. A Goal means showing a root in both a build and an inference without a hint.
Hints explain the structure and show related words. Assisted answers still get feedback, but cannot establish mastery or raise the placement ceiling. Turn off Move on after a correct answer to read at your own pace.
This is an original, AI-assisted personal learning game. The difficulty levels are editorial choices, not measured school grades or a validated curriculum.

No computer skills required.
Start playing is the easiest route, especially on a phone. On a computer, you can also keep the complete game in one file.
- Download the game below. Save Morphology-Forge.html in Downloads or somewhere easy to find.
- Double-click that file. It opens in your browser and works without internet. If it opens as text, choose Open with and select your browser.
- Start as Player 1, or add a nickname. Open Learners and backups to add another learner. Each keeps separate progress.
You do not need a GitHub account, a terminal, an API key or a subscription.

A backup belongs to you.
The game saves in this browser. Use Export this learner’s progress before clearing browser data, moving the file or changing browsers. A backup contains the nickname and progress in readable text, so keep it private. Import creates a separate learner.
If browser storage is unavailable, the game says Temporary session. You can still play and export before leaving. Competing tabs preserve the losing attempt for recovery.
The game has no analytics or default cloud connection. Optional cloud saves are included for people hosting their own copy, with adult email sign-in. Choose which learner to attach or restore; once attached and connected, later saves upload automatically. The offline file keeps cloud disabled.
