About

i’ve been at doordash since 2023. my team runs some of the company’s largest and most strategic partnerships: some of the world’s most iconic brands, responsible for billions of dollars in doordash sales. i got here by way of eight years on triplingo, a company that started out of trying to function in vietnam without the language.

day to day that is executives on the brand side and dozens of teams on ours. the work that lasts is the other kind: new partnership models, and changes that apply across every partnership at once instead of one deal at a time. ai is becoming a critical part of both.

i was born in anderson, south carolina, went to high school in marietta just outside atlanta, and studied philosophy at brown, graduating magna cum laude. one of the things i started there was brunobooks, which let students choose their classes and compare required books across the campus bookstore, amazon, half.com, and abebooks. the service was free; the retailers paid us a commission when someone bought through it. there was also the janus forum, a debate series that puts two people who disagree on the same stage and is still running at brown.

after college i spent eighteen months in vietnam, building the marketing function for caterpillar’s dealer there from nothing. then six months travelling india.

then triplingo. it started in 2011, out of trying to function in vietnam without the language, and grew into an enterprise product for international travel. over eight years we raised $2 million, won a few industry awards, and counted nearly a dozen of the fortune 500 as customers. travel and transport acquired it in 2019 and later became part of corporate travel management, where i led partnerships until doordash.

if you’d like the official record, or just want to say hello, i’m on linkedin.
